Beta feedback and general bug fixes!



CENTER OF MASS

After a slower start to my beta than expected, we started to get some feedback and I got straight to work! One of the main issues is in the car tuning, the center of mass feature is not user friendly at all. To fix this, I got a suggestion to create a small visual ball that would represent where the center of mass actually is.


After making it only visible when hovering over the Center of mass UI panel, all that is left is to make some tool-tips and re-word some things in the menu to make more sense to what they are doing.

AIR CONTROL

A new feature added was air control, I wanted something that felt close to rocket league but unique in it's own way.

To do this I created a torque based system to apply rotation as well as a force based system very close to a rocket to propel the car in the direction it is facing.

Flying through the skies of the legacy highway with the new air controls and some new UI that I was testing
